Hair therapy is my collective name for three treatments for hair loss and thinning hair. In all three I deliver active substances into the scalp, exactly where the hair follicles are. Which formula we use is something I choose together with you: it depends on the cause of the problem, how long it has been going on and what your scalp can handle.
Who it is for
- Hair loss or thinning hair, in women and men
- Anyone who wants to slow further loss and strengthen existing hair
- As a serious course, with a clear programme
- Alongside your care at home and the scalp rituals in the salon
How the treatment goes
We start with a scalp analysis: with the microcamera I look at your scalp, your hair density and the state of the hair shaft, and on screen you see exactly what I see. Then I cleanse the scalp and apply the chosen formula with a MesoGun or a Dermapen, in shallow micro-injections across the area that needs attention.
The treatment is minimally invasive and well tolerated by most people. What is better left alone afterwards, and when you can wash your hair again, I go through with you at the end.
Three treatments
The technique is the same in all three; the difference is what goes into the formula. I usually start with the first and build up if your situation calls for it.
-
Meso hair therapy € 130
The basic treatment, and for most people the start of the course. The cocktail contains, among other things, hyaluronic acid for hydration and absorption, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and polyphenols. These target the condition of the scalp and the blood circulation around the hair follicles: the conditions in which hair grows.
-
Hyamino Hair + BCN Peptide € 195
A step more intensive: a peptide complex is added to the base. Hyamino Hair is a scalp formula with hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins and mineral salts. The peptides come from Institute BCN and are formulated for hair loss; they are short protein chains that act as signalling substances aimed at the hair follicle.
I choose this variant when the loss has been going on for longer, or when the analysis shows your scalp needs more support than the basic formula provides.
-
Exosomes € 300 per treatment
The most intensive variant, booked per session. Exosomes are microscopically small vesicles cells use to pass signals to one another. In hair therapy they are used to support the processes around the hair follicle.
The research into this is still at an early stage. There are small studies with cautiously positive outcomes, but they differ considerably in design and there are still few controlled trials. So I use exosomes as an addition within a course, not as a promise.
What to expect
Hair growth takes time: a course runs over 8 to 12 weeks and what you see keeps building afterwards. I will not promise you a fixed result. What is achievable in your situation is something I discuss honestly in advance, and if I think a treatment is not going to help you, I say so too.
Course programme, men: 8 weeks, 6 treatments (weekly for the first 4 weeks, then every other week). Women: 12 weeks, 8 treatments (weekly for the first 4 weeks, then every other week). The exosome treatment is booked separately.
When (not) to treat
- Not suitable in case of, among others, allergy to ingredients, active skin infections (such as a cold sore), scarring alopecia, absence of active hair follicles, and certain medical conditions (autoimmune disease, type 1 diabetes, acute rheumatoid arthritis, persistent angina pectoris, endocarditis). I go through this with you beforehand.
